Atlas Foundry provides a variety of general services for its customers including:
- Manufacturing assistance for pattern equipment
- Tooling specification and sourcing
- Pattern maintenance and storage

Manufacturing assistance for pattern equipment
Atlas Foundry provides manufacturing assistance for pattern equipment. We work directly with your engineering staff to make sure the correct drawings are developed and the foundry pattern is correctly constructed.
Tooling specification and sourcing
We help customers to specify and source the required tooling. Tooling typically consists of the patterns, core boxes, core masking, and rigs and gating, required for a specific job.
Pattern maintenance and storage
Atlas Foundry maintains and stores customers' patterns. The Atlas Foundry Tool Shop performs routine pattern maintenance and repair. We inventory customer patterns and store them in our pattern storage building.
Shipping and logistics for outsourced services
We contract for, schedule, and provide transportation for required outsourced locally provided secondary services. Services available include:
- Painting
- Metal finishing
- Machining
- Heat treating
Delivery within a 500-mile radius
Atlas Foundry provides delivery services for finished castings within a 500-mile radius of Marion, Indiana using its own trucks.
Order tracking and shipping notification
Atlas Foundry staff personnel track orders during the production process and notify customer Purchasing or Receiving department personnel when an order is ready for shipment.
Vendor managed inventory of safety stock
Atlas Foundry maintains vendor-managed inventory programs for several customers. Finished castings are inventoried and made ready for shipment on short notice. If an Atlas Foundry customer managed-inventory part level falls below an agreed upon "safety stock" level, we automatically produce additional castings to replenish the managed inventory.
